Macromedia Central: a new product.
A new Macromedia product has been revealed. It's called Macromedia Central and it's a new way to develop, sell, and deploy applications using Macromedia Flash MX. Macromedia Central provides this ideal environment for rich, customized, occasionally-connected applications so the app is up-to-date. One feature of Macromedia Central is a system for distributing applications. The Macromedia Central environment is installed on the users machine on first use. Users are immediately able to download applications from developers to run in Macromedia Central.

It seems that in the next months we all going to have a lot of work to develop some good apps to sell at Macromedia Central!

More than Flash Bouncing Boobs.
I know that now Flash can make incredible RIAs, complex animations, multiplayer games, etc. But there is still a new aplication of Flash: sex animes. Some of you would probably remember the Bouncing Boobs of Guy Watson (hehe, his post not his boobs, just kidding). Well, if you liked it you will love this 203 animations.

I really don't know what's this site abput but some of the illustrations are very hard worked. We can say it's cyber-art.

Great colorized images from electron microscopes.

Internet under attack?
I don't know if this is happening everywhere but this evening I have received four Denial Of Service "Code Red" attack from different IPs but all pointing to one IP: 10.7.248.1 and the sources IP are 80.37.75.166, 80.247.137.100 and 80.236.49.192.
I will try to investigate it and as soon as I have more news I will post them. If you know where can I head to look for this kind of news, leave a comment.

New Flash resources: a free Flash Socket Server and a free Flash Component Package.
Today I'm going to post two very interesting resources out there made by two Spanish developers:

[·] The first one is Polo Socket Server developed by Carlos Polo. It's made in Java and communicates with Flash via XML. The first difference is that PSS uses xml tags in spanish language. The second point is that PSS is FREE. The third point is that can be implemented in any language that parse XML. The documentation is in Spanish so sorry if you can't understand it. It's great that the Spanish Flash community is developing great apps and tools too.

[·] The second one is Essential Components for Flash MX developed by Kali Romiglia. The package is totally FREE and Essential Components is packed with 13 useful components for Flash MX. Included are scrollbars, preloaders, tips and the one I like most, a Form creator. You can view the demo of the Form component here.

Paul Neave website.
Today I received an e-mail from Paul and I took a look at his site: Neave.com. I have to say that I really like the main menu with its animations but what it's really fun is the "beer games". There is a collection of games to play with your mates when you are in a pub drinking beer. I think this weekend I will try some of them. Enjoy them!

How to encrypt your e-mail and the ones of your readers.
Yesterday I included in my blog a new encryption code so leaving your e-mail in the comments now is secure. Don't have to worry about spambots harvesting your e-mail anymore (I hope so).
If you only want to include your e-mail encrypted in your website visit this page, follow the instructions and paste the code generated in your site.
If you want to include the e-mail encrytion in your comments template or want to know how it works, download this file or visit this page.
Let me know if you understand it or find something buggy. Now my comments are spam-protected so you can leave your mail. ;)

Protecting your e-mail from spam.
I'm worry in leaving my e-mail address in many blogs because spam robots can take your e-mail and start sending you crap emails.
Well, I have good news for the people leaving thier e-mails in my blog, now the e-mail will be encrypted with a complex code so the spambots will only get a bunch of numbers instead of your e-mail.
I used a JavaScript developed by Jim Tucek and I have modified it so my comments template understand what's going on. Tomorrow I will post all the info about how to make it work just in case you are interested in adding it to your site (I'll appreciate that so I will leave my real e-mail).
Place a comment if you find a bug or if you have a good suggestion.
